Q: What's the "grocery shopping rule?"
A: Ah, yes. I've often said that my judge of a good book is if I'd gladly read a story about the characters of that book going grocery shopping. I can't think of a good book that violates this rule. Best, when I contemplate this in relationship to a book, I start spinning mini-fanfic about said shopping trip in my head.
