The Mystery of Nancy Mackenroth

The Mystery of Nancy Mackenroth

Nancy Mackenroth wrote The Trees of Zharka, an unexpectedly compelling and fleshed-out little pulp novel. I enjoyed it a lot, so I set out to buy any other novels she wrote.

My quest was a dead-end, though: I could find almost no reference of a Nancy Mackenroth as an author.

I eventually boomeranged back to Amazon reviews. There are two. The first one—who apparently went on a similar tear to the one I went on and found the exact same results but is much more comfortable with speculation and assumptions—laments that Nancy Mackenroth died of ALS in 2010.

I moved on to the next review:

I, of course, eagerly responded to this review.

I’ll let you know if/when I hear back.
