The Changeling
A tender, bittersweet story of two childhood outsiders whose friendship makes the world a brighter place. Despite its YA audience and lack of fantasy, The Changeling offers adults a surprisingly powerful dose of nostalgia for the friendships that shaped them.
Phoenix Fire
A light urban fantasy involving Chinese mythology, an ancient demon, and a rather underused phoenix. It has all the charm, questionable plotting, and nostalgic familiarity of a 1990s PG-13 action movie.
